Nicola Spurling is a Social Justice Ambassador, runs a construction company, creates art through drawing and photography, volunteers on various boards, and loves outdoor activities. Nicola hopes to create affordable housing options by contributing her knowledge of, and skills in, construction, economics, and real estate to Serenity Housing Co-Op.

Passions: My great-grand kids are infinitely wiser than I am, so are most of my friends, cousins and all the dogs, elephants and horses I know. I’ve worked with co-operatives in 22 countries, really love that approach to getting things done for our communities. I’ve had the joy of living in South Asia, then living and working in Ireland, Antiqua, Canada, etc).
Daryl Watton
Treasurer
Pronouns: He, him. Daryl has had an interest in forming and being part of a co-operative community for decades. In 2022, he started working alongside Corey Keith to bring the vision of a tiny-homes co-operative into fruition, now named Serenity Housing Co-op. Daryl became Treasurer in March 2023. He has a Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting from Camosun College as well as a Master of Science in Teaching Degree from SUNY Potsdam and a Bachelor of Mathematics Degree from University of Waterloo. He has been a classroom teacher and private tutor for nearly twenty years.
