At the 2023, July 17 AGM (Our first One), we updated the Rules of Association (ROA) (A Co-op’s Bylaws) and reflected our Board of Directors. The changes to the ROA are below and you can see more information about the directors on the directors page.
Below are all the updates to the ROA:
ROA #5:
The Association shall issue an unlimited number of membership shares at a par value of ten dollars ($10) apiece. In addition, there will be an annual Membership fee at par value of $5, due within one month of the AGM.
ROA #17C:
In accordance with the act, a member whose membership has been terminated shall no longer have the right to occupy a unit of the Association.
ROA 26:
A director may be removed from office by resolution of the board if they no longer meet the qualifications required in Rule 20 or fail to attend three (3) consecutive meetings without cause and board permission, and may be removed by special resolution of the members for any other reason.
ROA 27:
The Directors shall appoint the officers of the Association from among their number and shall include:
a) Chair;
b) Vice-Chair;
c) Treasurer; and
d) Secretary.
The duties of each officer shall be defined by the board in accordance with the Act. Each officer shall serve a term of one (2) year and may serve an unlimited number of consecutive terms.
