Question: Where are you located?

Answer: We are located throughout British Columbia.  Our members are presently in Vancouver and Vancouver Island and hoping for more locations to join us.  Volunteers and members can be located anywhere within BC or outside of it.  

Once land is purchased and it is set up to live on, then most members will be located on site.  Some members may live on site only a short portion of the year.  The exact amount is still to be determined.

Question: Do you have a physical location yet?

Answer: No, we do not.  We are about minimum a year away from a property purchase.  In the fall we will start to apply for funding grants, do fundraisers and accept donations to go towards this goal.

Question: How Much is the membership Share?

Answer: At present we have each member at $1/ per year.  This will be changing shortly to an amount we have not decided upon yet.  Once we have a physical property and folks are living on it, the Share amount will change once again.

Questions: Are there a certain amount of hours minimum for membership?

Answer: At this point we  don’t have those numbers nailed down and may vary depending on how much someone contributes $$ wise and if they have been volunteering prior to living on the land.

Question: Do we have soter duties assigned to us?

Answer: If we understand the question correctly, it would be the same as any membership labour that one does.  So the same as above.  So for clarity, we seperate membership contributions or from Volunteers labour/ contributions.  Membership labour or $ contributions go towards Membership/ share and to housing/ services.  Volunteers are providing labour either because they want to support our community or because they are not sure if they want to join us and just want to contribute until they know for sure.  The specifics of how this might work is something we have not defined as of yet.
